ICT Silver Bullet strategy: rules, times and examples

The Silver Bullet is the most disciplined ICT model: one hour, one setup, then you stop.

The windows

  • London: 03:00–04:00 ET
  • New York AM: 10:00–11:00 ET
  • New York PM: 14:00–15:00 ET (MFT does not trade this one)

Step by step

  • Mark the liquidity in play from 15m: session highs/lows, previous day high/low.
  • Inside the window, wait for price to take a short-term high or low.
  • Look for displacement — a strong candle away from that sweep leaving a fair value gap.
  • Enter on the first retracement into the gap.
  • Stop beyond the swing that created the displacement; target the nearest liquidity, typically about 2R.

Common mistakes

  • Taking a setup at 11:05 and calling it a Silver Bullet.
  • Chasing when the gap is never retested.
  • Trading it straight into a news release.

Silver Bullet in MFT

MFT watches the window on NQ, ES and Gold, alerts you at the sweep and the gap, and only marks ENTER NOW while price is inside a fresh entry zone.
