Breaker Block

When price sweeps a high, reverses and then breaks back down through the order block that produced the high, that block becomes a breaker. On the retest it acts as resistance instead of support. Breakers are excellent for the second entry of a reversal day.

Why it works

Anything that fails becomes a reference point for the winning side.

Timeframes

5m and 15m.

Session

New York.

The checklist

  1. 1A swing high/low is swept.
  2. 2Price trades back through the block that created it.
  3. 3Price retests the block from the other side.

Execution

Entry

On the retest of the breaker.

Stop

Beyond the swept swing.

Target

Opposing liquidity.

When you should not take it

  • Do not confuse a breaker with a normal order block — direction of failure matters.
